As part of the European Universities Alliance COLOURS project, a significant meeting took place on July 17th, 18th, and 19th in Tragacete (Cuenca). This gathering brought together leaders and co-leaders of work packages 4 and 9, led by the University of Castilla La Mancha, focusing on research, innovation, and knowledge transfer within the Alliance framework. The meeting was designed as a platform for dialogue and collaboration among academia, the business and industrial sectors, public administrations, and civil society.

For the first time within the COLOURS alliance, a pilot activity related to the so-called COLABs was developed. This innovative approach addressed the demographic challenges faced by rural regions.

Over the course of three days, various participatory activities were conducted to raise awareness of the COLOURS alliance in Castilla La Mancha and propose sustainable solutions for designing policies and programs that promote the social, environmental, and economic development of our regions. This initiative aimed to position the COLOURS Alliance as a vital engine for the continuity and revitalization of rural communities.
