The upcoming Virtual Exchange (VE) training course, offered by the COLOURS Alliance, is open for participation by academic teachers. This course presents a valuable opportunity to engage with the innovative world of Virtual Exchange—a dynamic educational program that facilitates online collaboration among geographically distant groups of students through structured tasks, under the supervision of co-teaching educators.
Course Overview:
This training course is designed for higher education educators and PhD students from any discipline interested in integrating class-to-class VE into their academic courses. The course will be conducted on the JDU Moodle platform and will include weekly Zoom meetings.
The training will be offered as a microcredential course for COLOURS teaching community. The participants will be awarded a digital badge, recognising their expertise and commitment to
innovative teaching practices.
Course content
• April 28th – May 4th Soft start
• May 5th - May 11th Pedagogy of Virtual Exchange /COIL
• May12th - May 18th Task Design and Technology
• May 19th - May 25th Managing Challenge
• May 26th - June 1st Drafting your own VE scenario
