Teaching
The complete official list of courses for the three degree programmes of the Department of Law is published in June every year for the next academic year. The lists for 2024-25 are available here:
- Single-cycle degree in Law, in Ferrara
- Single-cycle degree in Law, at the satellite campus in Rovigo
- Three-year degree in Legal Services, in Ferrara
Some courses are elective, please check the list.
Additional activities complete the list of available courses for students. These include the Gianformaggio Chair courses and further seminars held by Visiting Professors affiliated to international universities. Please visit the page "Erasmus+ and other mobility programmes" to see the list and description of courses that are taught in a foreign language (in English in most cases).
Moreover, during the semester students may attend seminars organized by the Centre for European Legal Studies on Macro-Crime (Macrocrimes), the Centre for Advanced Training and Consultancy for Administrations (CAFCA), the European Documentation Centre (EDC) and the PhD programme in European Union Law and National Legal Systems.

Career opportunities
Graduates of the single-cycle degree programme in Law may pursue a career, e.g. as lawyers (after an 18-month internship and passing the bar exam); notary-publics (after an 18-month internship and passing the notary public competitive examination); judges and public prosecutors (after passing the competitive examination); civil servants; employees of an international organization or NGO; legal advisors in private companies.
Holders of a three-year degree in Legal Services may pursue a career, e.g. as a management and control specialist for private companies; a corporate legal expert; a legal expert in public administration; an administrative and technical secretary of general affairs; a building or apartment manager; a banking technician; an insurance agent; a specialist in exchange contracts, awards and debt recovery; an employment services specialist; a judicial services specialist; a tax controller; a public services specialist for the issuance of certifications and personal documentation.
