Located in a leafy area in the heart of the city of Ferrara, the Department occupies two historical buildings in the beautiful Corso Ercole I d'Este renaissaince boulevard.

Services available to students and guests include:

  • Comfortable classrooms, study rooms and halls, including the beautiful renaissance Lecture Hall (fully digitalized and with streaming services)
  • Gardens set with tables and chairs for studying and lectures in open air
  • A state-of-the-art library, possessing more than 125.000 books, including a collection of ancient volumes dating back to the 16th Century
  • Access to hundreds of electronic and paper journals as well as a range of legal data bases
  • Efficient inter-library services for the loan of books and journals are also supplied
  • A wi-fi connection available throughout the Department
  • IT facilities, such as computers, printers and scanners
  • Assistance from the Teaching Managers, a point of reference for all organizational matters relating to the Department’s teaching activities, who support students in managing their study plan, exam registration, student services and administrative formalities
  • A Teaching Tutor charged with assisting students who experience difficulties related to course contentsDepartment & more
  • Specific services for exchange students, such as:
    • support from the International Mobility Coordinators regarding the academic aspects of their stay
    • an Erasmus and International Mobility Tutor: a former exchange student who provides specific support to foreign students, helping them familiarise with the Department and the city
